Bible 101

Russell, one of the ministry staff at our church, has started to put together an online bible study called Bible 101. He has two sessions up on YouTube and is making more. Here is episode one for your viewing pleasure

I think this is awesome from several perspectives. First, it is actually quite informative and helpful. When one claims these sacred stories as having meaning in their life, or exploring what they mean to them, it is important to know and understand the context from which they emerged. Second, I think that this venue and medium is an absolutely brilliant way to start doing this stuff. I can see this whenever I want, as often as I want, and, most critically, I can do it in my pajamas.... although technically I guess I could attend bible study at our church in my pajamas too... you get my point though. They are short little segments - bite size morsels if you like - and it is completely self serve. I am excited to see how the series goes and what else we may start to put online!

That's pretty cool Adam - thanks for sharing it! I am also grateful there is no pic of you watching it in your PJs ;)
